Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro Battery

   Howdy all!

   I bought an X10 Mini Pro based on the reviews of the X10 Mini. In a few reviews, the reviewer said that it lasted well-nigh ii days even while being tested. Some of the posts in the X10 Mini forum seem to point similar bombardment life, and that going for even more than than ii days is possible.

   And so how come up my X10 Mini Pro has gone sub-10% in only 20 hours?

   That was with display dimmed to 25%, GPS off, sync off, wifi off, bluetooth off, and silent mode on. In that location'south no apps preventing the phone from sleeping, either. All I've done since the final charge is virtually fifteen minutes of cyberspace browsing, two hours of playing mp3s (screen off), and written one text. Is that considered heavy use? Maybe it's not going to be a replacement for my mp3 player, later all.. :|

   Then what's other peoples experience with the bombardment life then far? Has anyone managed to become more than 24 hours out of it?

   Update:
   I turned off 3G, and battery life's improved a fair whack! Only down to 79% after 16 hours, with one hour of playing mp3s.

   I don't know how much battery employ 3G is supposed to take up, only I do know that searching for a network eats battery like zilch else, and that my 3G connection is VERY inclement while I'thousand at dwelling - going on and off all the time. Maybe the constant switching between 2G and 3G was eating upward the battery.

2. I'g noticing the X10 mini pro is struggling with battery life, more and then than the ordinary X10 mini.

   A couple of things suggest that the X10 mini pro needs a firmware update, like the X10 recently got that was meant to set up a number of issues and ameliorate the standby fourth dimension.

   I haven't tried turning off 3G yet (partly because I desire to be able to use 3G/HSPA data speeds) but I take noticed that the signal seems to drop quite frequently - and peradventure the antenna on the X10 mini pro is causing the phone to take to search for betoken more, re-annals more than oftentimes or but operate on a higher ability level. I take left the telephone on a tabular array to ensure it isn't downwardly to me property the phone in a certain way (ala iPhone iv)!

   I accept turned all the Timescape stuff off and other apps are prepare to transmission sync just, then at that place's minimal groundwork data communication.

   Another thing; Juice Defender doesn't work.    I am very disappointed so far with the bombardment.

   I managed to go 40 hours out of information technology in the end, with 3G disabled for 35 of those hours. I started charging when the accuse dropped to 14%.

   During the 5 hours that 3G was turned on, my battery dropped from 71% down to 32%! During those 5 hours, the mp3 actor was constantly on, scrobbling every 6 minutes, plus 10 minutes of web browsing, 3 texts, a timescape refresh, and I downloaded two apps from the marketplace. Nonetheless; 40% of my battery disappearing seems a flake extreme!

   Hopefully there'll be a fix for the battery consequence, but until and then I judge I'll take to get used to only switching 3G on when I need information technology. It's very disappointing.. I really similar the phone, but I don't want to live in constant fright of how much battery I'grand using. I dread to recollect what'll happen to the battery if I actually have to call someone!

   I've also noticed that the battery usage history is a scrap doubtable.. information technology's got the game 'Abduction' stuck on the list at 4%, despite not having played it since I installed it three days agone (and killed the process). Summat's definitely not correct..

4. Is there any way to delete the factory installed DEMO games? Can you lot believe yous can play them just once, however they stay at that place forever? What was SE thinking?!

   Even if they took upwardly no retentivity yous could use, you're still stuck with the icons somewhere in the bill of fare.

8. ARGHHH! Woke up this morn to low battery considering I hadn't selected 'connect to PC' or 'charge only'. If you use the USB cable via the PSU, it charges automatically.

   Have the USB pb via a PC and information technology has that carte du jour (but you can plug the charger in the screen off) and I forgot this - so it didn't accuse.

   Now, I wonder why SE couldn't take it begin 'charging only' and offer the 'connect to PC' selection that switches. Why would you always plug in the cable and want the phone to do absolutely zero at all?

   which launcher is better for concoction life sony default or adw?

    I think adw, is meant to be a little more friendly on the bombardment.

    Bombardment life is giving headache..!!! Subsequently fullcharge - drain - Total charge...cycles for about 1 week...Its nonetheless giving less than ten hour backup with 15- xxx min call and 1 hr GRPS browsing...Now i need to conduct my old telephone to brand myself available on call. I am loving information technology...my Karbonn K444 with charging once in a ~ten days with lot of calls...
    I think i need to purchase an extra battery or more chargers..1 at office.ane in automobile...ane at dwelling...

12. Exercise the firmware update. I managed to go Juice Plotter to tell me I had 25 hours standby earlier after a accuse.

    disabling data traffic profoundly improved my battery functioning. just enable it when needed. I already experienced the forty hr only I cannot practice information technology once again. =)

    Nope, I use juice defender on my mini pro and information technology piece of work perfectly. It did not enquire to exist set upwardly since I installed it.
    Possibly your task manager kept on killing it. Look to your job manager and put Juice defender on the ignore listing.

16. Yep you do take to set it up! You've had to do that for some time now.

    Anyhow, this is an old thread and the latest version(south) do piece of work fine on the X10 mini and mini pro.

    I don't employ a task director and have no want to exercise then.

17. 

    The charging uses almost all the allowed USB omnibus power and might potentially disrupt other connected devices. That might be why they want the user to confirm a charge.
